Rather than disregarding the comment, Solomon questioned the concept of age-appropriate clothing and challenged the assumption that women must restrict their wardrobe choices based on age.

Solomon stated that clothing items do not carry age restrictions and questioned what determines whether an outfit is suitable for a particular age group. She explained that she had selected the dresses because they made her feel confident, without considering whether they were age-appropriate. Solomon emphasised that garments do not display age limits when purchased, and rejected the notion that reaching a certain age should prevent someone from wearing specific styles.
