DYLAN CEASE AND CRISTOPHER SÁNCHEZ TO START 2026 MLB ALL-STAR GAME

MON 13 JUL 2026 US SPORTS

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, 14 July, with Dylan Cease of the Toronto Blue Jays starting for the American League and Cristopher Sánchez of the Philadelphia Phillies starting for the National League. The annual exhibition will feature the best players from each league competing against one another. Starting lineups were confirmed on Monday ahead of the match at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels will bat leadoff for the American League, with Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros batting second. Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies will lead off the National League lineup as a replacement for Shohei Ohtani. Juan Soto of the New York Mets will bat second for the National League. Dave Roberts, manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will manage the National League, whilst John Schneider of the Toronto Blue Jays will manage the American League.

The published starting lineups serve as a reference point rather than a fixed roster, as managers traditionally rotate additional players into the game to ensure every team has representation. The exception may be Philadelphia Phillies players, given the game's location in their home city. All thirty MLB teams will have at least one player participating in the All-Star Game.
