MON 13 JUL 2026 CRIME

A three-year-old British boy died after falling from a fourth-floor window at a hotel in Cyprus on Sunday evening. Police arrested the boy's father, a 37-year-old man, following the incident. Local police received reports of the fall at approximately 6:40pm. Paramedics transported the child to Paphos General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The family had arrived at the hotel on Saturday for a summer holiday. The boy was playing with his father when he fell from the corridor window. Medical staff at Paphos General Hospital treated the child but were unable to prevent his death. The family includes another child, a five-year-old girl, who was present during the holiday.

The circumstances surrounding the fall remain under police investigation. The father's arrest followed the incident, though no further details regarding charges or allegations have been confirmed. The family's holiday plans have been disrupted by the death and subsequent police action.
