XREAL LAUNCHES A01 PLUS DISPLAY GLASSES AT $299

FRI 10 JUL 2026 AI

Xreal has released the A01 Plus, a tethered display device designed to function as a portable monitor for mobile devices and computers. The glasses cost $299, positioning them as a lower-cost option within Xreal's product range compared with other models priced at $449 and above. The A01 Plus connects via USB-C and features a fixed micro OLED display with 1080p resolution and a lightweight aluminium frame weighing 62 grams.

The A01 Plus omits several features found in Xreal's more expensive glasses, including adjustable display sizing, variable-tint front lenses, and widescreen modes. The device offers a fixed virtual field of view of 50 degrees and brightness of 1,600 nits. The glasses include adjustable nose pads and arms that angle at three clickable positions to adjust screen placement. Xreal markets the product with swappable face plates, including a mirrorshade sunglass front and a fully opaque black visor for light blocking.

The A01 Plus positions itself as a direct competitor to other budget display glasses such as the TCL RayNeo Air 4 Pro, which carries a similar price point and offers a 47-degree field of view with 1,200 nits brightness. Xreal designed the A01 Plus to appeal to gamers and film viewers seeking portable large-screen viewing. The company describes the glasses as plug-and-play devices without onboard cameras or artificial intelligence services, distinguishing them from Meta's smart glasses category.
