YUNGBLUD WITHDRAWS FROM CALGARY FESTIVAL TO FOCUS ON WELLBEING
Yungblud has withdrawn from a scheduled performance at Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary on 12 July, citing a need to focus on his mental health. The British musician, real name Dominic Harrison, made the announcement through statements shared on Instagram by himself, his management team and festival organisers. His management stated that the decision to pull him from the festival was not taken lightly and expressed regret for any disappointment caused. All other dates on his current world tour remain scheduled to proceed as planned.
In his statement, Yungblud said he is "currently in a place where I'm working on myself and taking time off at home in the UK" and described himself as "taking this extremely seriously". He apologised to Canadian fans for his absence and stated he is "facing head on what's going on for the good of the long term". The withdrawal comes days after the musician broke down in tears whilst performing at BludFest in Czechia last month. In a separate post, Yungblud wrote that he has "been really struggling" and described the emotional release on stage as "a byproduct of my body releasing the wave of emotion that has hit me in the past year that I've been unable to process".
The festival cancellation occurs during a world tour in support of Yungblud's 2025 album Idols. His statement indicated he intends to return to performing once he has addressed his current wellbeing needs.
