LOVE ISLAND WINNER CACH MERCER JOINS STRICTLY COME DANCING 2025

Strictly Come Dancing has announced Love Island star Cach Mercer as the fifth celebrity to join this year's line-up. Mercer won Love Island last year alongside now-ex Toni Laites. He expressed enthusiasm about joining the show, stating he has watched it with his family since childhood. Mercer also indicated that dancing is a significant interest of his and that he looks forward to learning ballroom techniques and performing the Foxtrot.

Mercer joins an announced roster that includes Love Island winner Dani Dyer, EastEnders actor Lacey Turner, singer Delta Goodrem and hair stylist Chris Appleton. The reality television personality said he had kept news of his participation confidential for an extended period before the announcement. He stated that he is eager to discover the identity of his dance partner and to perform on the dance floor. The remainder of the 2025 celebrity line-up is scheduled to be revealed throughout the summer months.

Strictly Come Dancing is set to launch in September. The announcement of the full roster will continue across the summer period leading up to the show's start date. Mercer becomes the first male Love Island contestant to participate in the dance competition series.
