FRITZ OUT AT WIMBLEDON AFTER KNEE ISSUE FLARES UP

Taylor Fritz lost to Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon on Wednesday. The match took place on No. 1 Court. Fritz's knee issue flared up during the encounter. Zverev's serve proved difficult for Fritz to manage throughout the match.

Fritz was the last American man remaining in the tournament at the point of his exit. The German player's serving strength and Fritz's physical difficulties combined to determine the outcome. The result leaves Fritz continuing to search for his first Grand Slam title.

The quarterfinal loss marks the end of Fritz's run at the 2026 edition of Wimbledon. No further matches are scheduled for Fritz at the tournament.
