ALLIANZ PARTNERS TO CUT UP TO 1,800 JOBS AS IT ADOPTS AI

WED 08 JUL 2026

Allianz Partners will eliminate between 1,500 and 1,800 positions from its workforce as the company implements artificial intelligence solutions. The cuts affect Allianz Partners, the assistance and travel insurance subsidiary of Allianz SE. The company currently employs close to 23,000 staff, meaning the proposed redundancies represent between 6.5 and 7.8 per cent of its total workforce.

Allianz Partners provides insurance and assistance services across multiple regions and customer segments. The company stated that the job cuts form part of a broader push to adopt AI technology within its operations. The redundancies will affect roles across the organisation, though the company has not specified which departments or functions will be most affected.

The announcement reflects a wider trend among large financial services firms integrating artificial intelligence into their business operations. Allianz Partners has not disclosed a timeline for the redundancies or provided details on redundancy packages for affected staff. The company has not yet announced formal consultation processes with employee representatives or trade unions regarding the proposed cuts.
