ROBBIE URE SCORES FOUR AS IK SIRIUS TOPS SWEDISH LEAGUE
Robbie Ure scored all four goals in IK Sirius's match at the weekend, propelling the Swedish club to a nine-point lead at the top of the Allsvenskan. The former Rangers striker, aged 22, has attracted interest from clubs in larger European leagues. Ure was born and raised in Glasgow and has represented Scotland at Under-19 level.
Ukraine have made contact with Ure, who qualifies to play for the country through his grandparents. Ure confirmed that contact from Ukraine occurred over the past couple of months and in the previous year. He stated his preference to play for Scotland whilst acknowledging he has no immediate pressure regarding the decision. Ure has scored 11 goals in 11 games for Sirius this season and 22 goals in 41 appearances since joining the club in March 2025.
Ure expressed his ambition to play for Scotland's men's first team, though he said involvement at Under-21 level would present no difficulty. He also stated a longer-term goal to play in one of Europe's five top leagues. The striker left Rangers after scoring one senior goal, having previously spent 18 months with Anderlecht's B side in Belgian football before moving to Uppsala.
