PAUL FARBRACE APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF CRICKET AT SUSSEX

Paul Farbrace will transition from his role as head coach at Sussex to become the club's director of cricket, effective from November. The appointment marks a shift in Farbrace's responsibilities within the organisation. Sussex confirmed the move in a statement to the BBC. The timing of the transition was not disclosed beyond the November start date.

Farbrace has held the position of head coach at Sussex, overseeing the team's on-field performance and development. The nature of his previous head coaching tenure and the reasons for the move to a director-level position were not detailed in the available information. The role of director of cricket typically involves broader oversight of the club's cricket operations, strategy and player development across multiple levels. Sussex did not announce who would succeed Farbrace as head coach.

The club's decision to promote Farbrace to director level reflects a restructuring of its cricket leadership. Sussex has not yet confirmed further details about the transition plan or the timeline for appointing a new head coach. The appointment takes effect in November.
