MAN ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED UPSKIRT PHOTOGRAPHY ON TRAIN

A 75-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of taking photographs up a woman's skirt aboard a train travelling between Harrogate and York, according to the British Transport Police. The incident occurred at approximately 5.20pm on 19 June as the woman was gathering her belongings before departure. The woman confronted the man after being informed of his actions and continued to challenge him on the platform at York station.

Station staff were alerted by the woman and contacted the British Transport Police. The suspect left the station by bicycle before officers arrived at the scene. The man was subsequently taken into custody and questioned by the force.
