CAMERON BOOZER SCORES 15 IN GRIZZLIES SUMMER LEAGUE DEBUT
Cameron Boozer scored 15 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists in his first professional appearance for the Memphis Grizzlies in a 111-74 Summer League victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. Boozer, selected third overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, shot 7-of-11 from the floor and played 24 minutes. The Grizzlies generated their opening basket by passing to Boozer in the lane, with Taylor Hendricks providing the assist.
Boozer's father Carlos, who holds a position in the Utah Jazz's front office, watched from courtside in Salt Lake City. The Jazz had considered selecting Boozer with the second overall pick before choosing Kansas guard Darryn Peterson instead. Olivier-Maxence Prosper led Memphis with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, whilst Hendricks contributed 15 points and 4 rebounds and Jahmai Mashack added 12 points with 4 assists.
The Grizzlies face the Jazz's Summer League team on Monday at 9 p.m. ET, a matchup that will feature Peterson and Ace Bailey, a 2025 first-round pick. Oklahoma City's first-round selections also made their Summer League debuts, with centre Aday Mara and guard Bennett Stirtz each scoring 10 points. Mara, the 12th overall pick, recorded 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks.
