POSTECOGLOU APPOINTED HEAD COACH OF AL-NASSR IN SAUDI PRO LEAGUE

SAT 04 JUL 2026 FOOTBALL

Ange Postecoglou has been appointed head coach of Al-Nassr, the Saudi Pro League club. Postecoglou has agreed a two-year contract with the club. The appointment marks his return to football management following a period working as a television pundit. Al-Nassr's squad includes Cristiano Ronaldo.

Postecoglou most recently managed Tottenham Hotspur before taking up a role as a pundit with ITV during the World Cup. His previous managerial role at Nottingham Forest lasted 39 days. He has managed at club level across multiple continents, including spells in Japan, Scotland and Australia before his time in the Premier League.

Al-Nassr competes in the Saudi Pro League, which has expanded its profile and investment in recent years. The club's appointment of Postecoglou represents a significant move in the league's continued recruitment of high-profile figures from European football. Postecoglou will now take charge of pre-season preparation and competitive fixtures for the club.
