WIMBLEDON QUALIFIERS TARGET TOP SEEDS AFTER UPSET WINS

Roman Safiullin and Shintaro Mochizuki have advanced their aims at Wimbledon following upset victories in the qualifying rounds. The two qualifiers have set their sights on competing against title challengers Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner. Both players have indicated their intention to pursue further success in the tournament after their initial wins.

Safiullin and Mochizuki entered Wimbledon through the qualifying competition rather than direct seeding. Their victories in the early stages of the tournament have positioned them as potential challengers to established competitors. The qualifiers' progression represents a notable achievement given the strength of competition typically faced at the Grand Slam event.

The players' ambitions now centre on matches against higher-ranked opponents. According to reports, Safiullin and Mochizuki believe they possess the capability to defeat top seeds. Their continued participation in the tournament will be determined by outcomes in forthcoming rounds against Djokovic, Sinner and other seeded players.
