TRIPLET SISTERS DEBUT FOR GUERNSEY IN CHERRY GODFREY CUP

MON 29 JUN 2026

Emilie, Hollie and Millie Jeffreys became the first triplets ever to play for Guernsey, all making their debuts for the island side during the Cherry Godfrey Cup tournament. Guernsey finished third overall in the competition after losing 3-1 to the Isle of Man in their semi-final on Friday. The sisters featured together in Guernsey's third-place play-off match against the Isle of Wight on Saturday, which Guernsey won 5-1.

Millie Jeffreys provided three assists in the third-place decider, with team-mate Heidi Dawber scoring a hat-trick to put Guernsey 3-0 ahead after 32 minutes. Thea Broadhead scored for the Isle of Wight before half-time. Emilie Jeffreys set up her sister Millie to extend Guernsey's lead to 4-1 with 18 minutes remaining, before Emilie added a goal in stoppage time. The three sisters were involved in creating or scoring all five of Guernsey's goals in the match.

The Jeffreys sisters will shortly join York City's academy programme, where they will pursue academic qualifications whilst following a development pathway with the club's women's team. Emilie told BBC Radio Guernsey that representing Guernsey was a long-held ambition and that playing together on the pitch was special. Hollie stated the sisters' goal is to become professional footballers, with the move to York representing a significant step towards that objective. Millie said she was eager to begin her time at the academy.
