HOVLAND AND SCHEFFLER SET FOR PLAYOFF AFTER RAIN HALTS TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP

Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler are set to compete in a playoff following the final round of the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. Play was suspended due to rain during the closing stages of the tournament. Collin Morikawa completed his final round before the weather halted proceedings, whilst other contenders in the tournament were unable to finish.

The final round was approaching a conclusion when rain struck the course around 5 p.m. local time. Several major names remained in contention at the time play was suspended. The suspension left multiple competitors unable to complete their rounds as conditions deteriorated.

The playoff between Hovland and Scheffler will determine the tournament champion. Officials have not yet confirmed when play will resume or when the playoff will take place. The suspension marked an unusual conclusion to what had been described as a thrilling final round.
