HAMPSHIRE TOP WOMEN'S T20 BLAST AFTER BOUCHIER HITS FIFTH HALF-CENTURY

Maia Bouchier scored 63 runs as Hampshire defeated Durham by eight wickets to move two points clear at the top of the Women's T20 Blast table. Bouchier's innings included seven fours and two sixes as she dominated Hampshire's chase of 129. An 86-run partnership between Bouchier and Naomi Dattani, who scored 33, secured victory with nine runs still required. Bex Tyson and Poppy Tulloch each took two wickets for Hampshire as Durham were restricted to 128-7 at the Utilita Bowl.

In concurrent fixtures, The Blaze moved to second place following a nine-wicket victory over Essex at Chelmsford. Captain Marie Kelly scored 55 not out and Charli Knott contributed an unbeaten 54 as The Blaze chased down 136-9 with 4.1 overs remaining. Knott also took 2-24 with the ball, whilst spinners Lucy Higham and Maria Andrews claimed 3-24 and 1-20 respectively. Surrey claimed third position after a two-wicket victory over Somerset, with captain Bryony Smith scoring 63 from 51 deliveries at the Cooper Associates Ground.

At the bottom of the standings, Warwickshire defeated Lancashire by one run in a final-ball match at Blackpool. Natasha Wraith scored 83 runs in Warwickshire's innings. Durham dropped to fourth following their loss to Hampshire, with the defeats for Durham, Essex and Somerset enabling other sides to progress up the table.
