EVA GREEN HOSPITALISED AFTER ACCIDENT ON WEDNESDAY SET

SUN 28 JUN 2026

Eva Green was taken to hospital after sustaining an injury during production of the Netflix series Wednesday near Dublin, according to reports. The French actor, known for her role as Vesper Lynd in the 2006 film Casino Royale, suffered a leg injury on set. Production was halted whilst Green underwent treatment earlier this month. A source told media outlets that Green was "clearly in pain" following the "nasty" accident, and that producers "were taking no chances" by calling medics.

Green joined the cast of Wednesday for its forthcoming third season, playing Wednesday's aunt, Ophelia Frump. The series is based on characters from The Addams Family and stars Jenna Ortega in the title role and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia. Green's character was teased during season two, shown from behind writing the words "Wednesday must die." The series has been widely watched on Netflix and ranks among its most-watched original series.

Green is now recovering well, according to the source's account. Representatives of Green and Netflix were contacted for comment by media outlets. Prior to the accident, Green had expressed enthusiasm about her role, stating she could not wait to bring "a touch of cuckoo-ness" to The Addams Family and describing the show as "a deliciously dark and witty world."
