JOSH PECK REVEALS DRAKE & JOSH EARNINGS OVER FOUR-YEAR RUN

SAT 27 JUN 2026

Josh Peck has disclosed his financial earnings from Drake & Josh, the Nickelodeon series in which he starred alongside Drake Bell from 2004 to 2007. Speaking on the Financial Tea with Mrs Dow Jones podcast this week, Peck stated that cast members began earning $3,000 per episode on The Amanda Show, the programme from which Drake & Josh spun off. By the final episodes of Drake & Josh, he said the average rate had increased to approximately $15,000 per episode, with the show comprising 60 episodes total across its run.

Peck calculated that his gross earnings over the four years amounted to roughly $900,000, translating to approximately $125,000 annually. However, he noted that after accounting for agent fees, management costs and taxes, he and Bell retained substantially less than that sum. Peck stated that deductions for representation and tax obligations reduced their take-home pay to approximately half the total gross figure. He acknowledged that public perception often assumed cast members earned considerably more from the series.

Peck remarked that the salary, whilst comparable to professional roles such as dentistry, did not constitute sufficient lifetime earnings to cease working after the show's conclusion. He stated that people frequently assumed child television actors accumulated wealth that would eliminate the need for future employment. Peck emphasised he raised the matter not to invite sympathy but to address the common misconception about earnings from successful television productions.
