DWYANE WADE'S SON ARRESTED ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGES

Zaire Wade, son of former NBA champion Dwyane Wade, was arrested on 21 June in Burbank, California on suspicion of three charges: felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 5:30 a.m. reporting that a woman was screaming inside a residence. Officers located Zaire Wade and the woman at the scene; paramedics evaluated the woman's injuries, though she was not transported to hospital for further treatment.

The Burbank Police Department recovered a handgun from the residence following the arrest. According to reports, the woman had lacerations on her face and body. An Emergency Protective Order was obtained to provide temporary legal protection for the alleged victim. Zaire Wade was booked into custody and posted a $50,000 bail later the same day, after which he was released pending further legal proceedings.

The Burbank Police Department stated that detectives are continuing to investigate the matter and will present the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration. As of the time these reports were published, no formal plea had been entered and prosecutors had not announced whether criminal charges would officially be filed. The arrest was reported publicly five days after it occurred.
