LIZZIE DEIGNAN JOINS GB CYCLING AS SPORTING DIRECTOR
Lizzie Deignan has taken up a sporting director role at Great Britain's cycling team. The former world champion will support the road squad at major events through to the LA 2028 Olympic Games, according to British Cycling. Deignan's appointment marks her return to the national team in a management capacity.
Deignan won the world road race championship in 2015. She represented Great Britain at multiple Olympic Games as a competitor before retiring from elite racing.
