VINÍCIUS JÚNIOR LEADS BRAZIL PAST SCOTLAND IN MIAMI

Brazil defeated Scotland at Miami Stadium on Wednesday in a World Cup qualifier, with Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior instrumental in the victory. Vinícius scored in the seventh minute after Rayan capitalised on a poor touch from Scotland defender Scott McKenna to set up the opening goal. The Brazilian side controlled the match throughout, with Vinícius dominating play against Scotland's Nathan Patterson of Everton.

The stadium atmosphere favoured Brazil, with three of the four stands filled predominantly with Brazilian supporters, many of whom had travelled from São Paulo. Brazilian celebrities attended the fixture, including former player Ronaldinho, who was positioned near the players' tunnel to greet the squad and manager Carlo Ancelotti before kick-off. Vinícius arrived at the match having already scored twice and earned two man-of-the-match awards earlier in the World Cup.

The result lifted pressure on Ancelotti's side, who had experienced mixed form before the match. Vinícius exerted significant influence over the game from the opening moments, controlling possession and dictating play despite not requiring defensive penetration on every occasion to shape the outcome. Brazil's victory secured their qualification prospects and kept them in contention for first place in their World Cup group.
