BOY, 14, ARRESTED OVER DEATH OF MISSING GIRL LILLY JONES

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Lilly Jones, also 14. Jones was last seen at 6.50pm on Saturday in Blaina, a former mining village near Ebbw Vale in the South Wales Valley. Her body was discovered next to a bowls club approximately 500 yards from her home. The arrested boy allegedly posted content featuring Jones on TikTok before her body was found.

South Wales Police confirmed the arrest in connection with Jones's death. The discovery was made in the immediate vicinity of the girl's residence in Blaina. Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing, according to police statements.

The case has prompted a significant police response in the area. South Wales Police has appealed for information from members of the public who may have witnessed relevant activity on Saturday. The force has not disclosed further details regarding the investigation at this stage.
