FRANCESCO MOLINARI NAMED VICE CAPTAIN FOR EUROPE'S RYDER CUP DEFENCE

Francesco Molinari has been appointed as vice captain for Europe's Ryder Cup team for a third consecutive tournament. The appointment was made by Luke Donald, who leads Europe's squad. Molinari, a former Open champion, will work alongside his brother Edoardo as assistant captains for the competition.

The Molinari brothers will serve together in the vice captain roles as Europe seeks to defend the Ryder Cup. Francesco Molinari's reappointment marks his continued involvement in Europe's preparations for the event. His selection follows previous vice captain appointments at two prior Ryder Cup tournaments.

The structure of Europe's leadership team is now confirmed with the dual appointment of the brothers. Both Francesco and Edoardo Molinari will support Luke Donald in his capacity as captain. The next Ryder Cup will see Europe attempt to retain the trophy under this management structure.
