OHIO STATE OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP TO SAFETY TO RECRUIT RUNNING BACK
Ohio State has extended a scholarship offer to safety Jordan Darren Djila as part of its recruitment effort for five-star running back David Gabriel-Georges. Djila and Gabriel-Georges are neighbours from Canada who attend Chattanooga Baylor School together. The offer represents Djila's first Power 4 scholarship proposal. Djila met with Ohio State coaches Matt Guerrieri and Tim Walton during a family visit to the university.
Djila, listed at 5 feet 11 inches and 185 pounds, is classified as a developmental prospect and holds no national ranking. Gabriel-Georges remains Ohio State's priority target at running back, with the programme competing directly against Tennessee for his commitment. Tennessee conducted an official visit with Gabriel-Georges on 5 June. According to recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong, Ohio State's offer to Djila represents a strategic recruitment move designed to influence Gabriel-Georges' decision.
Djila described his interaction with Ohio State's coaching staff positively, citing the programme's coaching quality and team atmosphere. The final official visit weekend of the summer has concluded, with multiple Power 4 programmes hosting recruits. Ohio State and Tennessee continue their efforts to secure Gabriel-Georges' commitment as the recruitment period advances.
