SHEDEUR SANDERS RETURNS TO COLORADO TO MENTOR RECEIVERS

SUN 21 JUN 2026 FOOTBALL

Shedeur Sanders has continued to visit Colorado's football facility despite moving to the NFL, according to wide receivers coach Rashad Davis. Davis stated on Thee Pregame Network podcast that Sanders' presence benefits the programme, with receivers valuing his instruction on route timing and quarterback expectations. Sanders left Colorado a year ago but has maintained his connection to the programme during the offseason.

Sanders played two seasons as starting quarterback for Colorado under head coach Deion Sanders. In the 2024 season, he threw for 4,134 yards at 74% completion efficiency and contributed to Travis Hunter winning the Heisman Trophy. Colorado achieved a 9-win season and retired Sanders' jersey following his departure. Sanders returned to Boulder last month to attend the university's graduation ceremonies and receive his degree.

Sanders shares information with current receivers about the professional level and the standards he established during his time at the programme. Davis described Sanders' contributions as valuable to what he termed "Colorado Buff Nation". The quarterback's continued involvement with the team occurs whilst he pursues his NFL career.
