TRUMP CALLED YOUNGEST SON "HONEY" AFTER CHARLIE KIRK SHOOTING
President Donald Trump used the nickname "honey" when speaking to his youngest son Barron after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot, according to a forthcoming book by New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan. The book, titled Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, is scheduled for release this week. According to the publication, Barron, then 19, was the first to inform his father about Kirk's assassination and expressed concern that Trump could be targeted next. Trump responded by telling his son: "Calm down, honey, calm down," the book claims.
Barron, now 20, graduated from Oxbridge Academy in Florida in 2024 and enrolled at New York University's Stern School of Business in Manhattan. Reports indicate he transferred to the university's Washington, D.C., campus last autumn for his second year. He launched Sollos, an energy drink brand, earlier this year, offering a pineapple and coconut-flavoured Yerba Mate drink priced at $39 per 12-pack. Barron also co-founded the cryptocurrency company World Liberty Financial with his older brothers in 2024.
Forbes estimated Barron's net worth at $150 million as of late 2025. He attended the White House's UFC Freedom 250 event last week alongside his mother, first lady Melania Trump, and his brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. Barron typically maintains a low public profile, though his business ventures and family appearances have drawn increased attention in recent months.
