NORTHAMPTON SAINTS WIN 2026 PREM RUGBY TITLE AT TWICKENHAM
Northampton Saints defeated Exeter Chiefs 26-17 in the Premiership Rugby final at Twickenham to claim the 2026 title. George Hendy scored two tries in the final quarter, in the 65th and 68th minutes, to secure victory after Saints had been trailing. Tommy Freeman and Fin Smith also crossed for tries in the match.
Exeter mounted a strong challenge after trailing 14-5 earlier in the contest. Josh Iosefa-Scott and Dafydd Jenkins scored tries for the Chiefs, which brought them within three points. Exeter had reached the final after defeating defending champions Bath in the semi-final, overturning a 16-point deficit in that match.
Saints' victory marked their third Premiership title. The club previously won the championship in 2014 and 2024. Hendy's decisive tries in quick succession proved the difference between the two sides in the closing stages.
