PAUL JAMES APPOINTED WALES SCRUM COACH

Paul James has been appointed permanent scrum coach for the Wales national rugby union team. The appointment was made by the Welsh Rugby Union. James will take responsibility for developing the scrum technique and set-piece play within the squad.

The role of scrum coach is a specialist position within the coaching structure, focusing on one of rugby union's most technically demanding aspects of play. The scrum involves eight forwards from each team packing closely together to compete for the ball, requiring co-ordination, strength and precise technique. James's appointment follows the Welsh Rugby Union's decision to fill the position on a permanent basis.

The Welsh Rugby Union has confirmed James in the post. His tenure will form part of the broader coaching framework supporting the Wales national team as it prepares for forthcoming fixtures and competitions.
