SIVO SCORES HAT-TRICK AS LEEDS BEAT WARRINGTON 34-6
Maika Sivo scored his fifth hat-trick of the Super League season as Leeds Rhinos defeated Warrington Wolves 34-6 in a top-of-the-table match at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. The Fiji international winger took his 2026 Super League try tally to 25 tries. Brodie Croft and Harry Newman also scored tries for Leeds, with Jake Connor kicking five conversions. Warrington's only points came from an Ewan Irwin goal and a try by Ashton.
The victory moved Leeds two points clear at the top of the Super League table, ahead of Warrington, who had started the match level on points but second on points difference. Sivo's 25 tries left him nine clear of the next highest try scorer, Leigh's Josh Charnley, who has recorded 16 tries this season. Lachie Miller, returning to the Leeds side after a three-match suspension, played at full-back. Warrington suffered their first home defeat of the season in what the BBC described as their worst display of the campaign.
The result was described as emphatic, with Leeds dominant throughout the match. Croft has signed a three-year deal with Warrington beginning next season. The BBC noted that a Harry Newman try stood despite the Leeds centre appearing slightly in front of the kicker when the ball was kicked.
