LEE ANDREWS CALLS FOR SUSANNA REID TO LOSE JOB OVER GMB COMMENTS
Lee Andrews, husband of Katie Price, has called for Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid to be dismissed from her role following remarks she made about him on the ITV programme. Reid expressed scepticism about Andrews's account of being captured at gunpoint, stating on air that his claims caused her eyes to "roll out of [her] head". Andrews responded via Instagram, stating that Reid had judged him "without any evidence" and that she should "lose her job" for her comments.
Andrews disappeared last month and subsequently appeared in a Dubai prison, where he was held on a £140,000 bail before his release. He married Price in January. Following his release, Andrews posted video content on Instagram in which he recounted being taken by armed men at the Oman border and held at what he described as a "black site". Reid's on-air response prompted Andrews to post further messages on social media, in which he characterised her scepticism as prejudice and stated that he would appear on the Good Morning Britain sofa with Price to address the matter directly.
Andrews also referenced Alana Percival, an ex-partner who has publicly discussed their relationship and made allegations against him. Andrews dismissed Percival's account as merely "a story" and suggested that Reid, if functioning as an investigative journalist, should require evidence beyond such testimony before forming conclusions about him. He promised to present his position on the programme at a future date.
