PRINCE WILLIAM ANNOUNCED AS GUEST EDITOR OF COUNTRY LIFE

WED 17 JUN 2026 ROYAL

Prince William will serve as guest editor of Country Life magazine for its November 11th 2026 issue. The Prince of Wales will follow in the footsteps of his father King Charles III, Queen Camilla and David Beckham in taking on the role. A new portrait of William has been released to mark the announcement, photographed during a visit to Corston Fields Farm Vineyard near Bath in Somerset.

King Charles III has guest edited Country Life twice previously, in 2013 to mark his 65th birthday and again in 2018 when he turned 70. Queen Camilla guest edited the magazine in 2022 on her 75th birthday, producing a record-breaking sell-out edition. David Beckham most recently held the guest editorship in October last year, featuring his favourite countryside views and recipes from the family home in the Cotswolds.

Prince William's edition is likely to focus on rural affairs, sustainability and community life, subjects on which he has spoken with passion previously. The Duchy of Cornwall, of which William is patron, has emphasised countryside preservation. Corston Fields Farm Vineyard, where the announcement photograph was taken, is an English wine estate with Roman origins that has gained recognition for its sparkling wines.
