FLOODING SWEEPS THROUGH SOUTHERN SPAIN
Flooding affected southern Spain, with pedestrians swept along streets and motorists caught in rising water. Roads became impassable as torrents of water moved through affected areas. Wheelie bins were carried along in the floodwaters alongside vehicles.
The flooding occurred during heavy rainfall in the region. Pedestrians found themselves unable to safely navigate streets as water levels rose rapidly. Motorists became stranded as roads transformed into rivers, trapping vehicles in the deluge.
The scale of the flooding disrupted normal movement and transport through the affected areas of southern Spain. Emergency response efforts would have been required to assist those caught in the flooding.
